Week of 2–8 November
Keep the favourite toy in reach: Cancer dogs are guarding their treasures this week
This week's sky: all week · Mercury is in Scorpio, retrograde
Mercury is in Scorpio, retrograde, all week, and it sends Cancer dogs gently back over old favourites. Your Cancer is likely to pick one beloved toy and carry it everywhere, from the hallway to the sofa to the end of the walk, as if it were the most precious thing in the world. Cancer is a Water sign, so the Crab feels deeply attached to anything that smells of home and comfort. It makes for a tender, slightly shell-clutching week, with soft eyes above that toy.
A soft, sentimental week in which Cancer dogs hold their dearest things a little closer.

Week of 19–25 October
With the Sun slipping into Scorpio on Friday, Cancer dogs get a deeper, softer kind of devotion
This week's sky: Friday 23 October · The Sun leaves Libra and moves into Scorpio
The Sun leaves Libra and moves into Scorpio this week, and it turns Cancer dogs inward and intensely loyal. Your Cancer is likely to be the dog who dozes with one ear up, tracking every creak, click and footstep in the house even while looking fully asleep. Water signs feel the mood of a home before anything is said, and the Crab keeps a close, tender watch on it. Expect a dog who is relaxed but never quite off the clock.
A tender, watchful week where Cancer dogs feel every little shift in the air before it happens.
